The prestigious “Silver Star Award” presentation to Worthy Past Grand Sir Knight Steve Simmons (center) for the fraternal year 2013-2014 took place at the December 2014 business meeting held in the Fallon Center lounge. Making the presentation were Knights of Columbus State Secretary SK Colin Jorsch (on right) and Worthy District Director SK Joseph Santiago Smith (on left).

The Star Council Award recognizes outstanding achievement in membership, insurance and service program activities in their council communities. To be eligible to earn the Star Council Award, a council must qualify for the Father McGivney, Founder’s and Columbian awards.

The Father McGivney and Founder’s awards are recognized and achieved when a council successfully meets and/or exceeds their membership quota in the fraternal year. A council conducting at least four major programs in each of the Service Program categories achieves the Columbian Award: Church, Community, Council, Family, Culture of Life and Youth.

Our Charter, founded in 1997, has achieved this great honor only twice. Consider becoming a Knight by joining OLL council and help the order in our parish community and family.

We meet at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm, in the St. Burnadette Center.
